This type of printer is sometimes known as "Giclee", a French word that refers to the inkjet function of 'to spray'. The printer uses 11 ink cartridges and can print images up to 44" in width. There is a twelfth cartridge that enhances the black point when required. This is professional pigment type ink and is different then the dye ink typically found in everyday printers. The print head has 18,432 nozzles that lay dense ink droplets for maximum color reproduction. I can also print photographs on canvas from rolls up to 44" wide as another option to give your image an artistic look. This could also be utilized to reproduce prints of artwork.
